civic type r pistons in b16a engine

i purchased civic type r pistons to upgrade the stock pistons in my b16a 1st gen engine. i was under the impression that they should swap out no problem but my stock connecting rods are too wide for the type r pistons. do i need new connecting rods too? anyone?

thanks moppie, putting the eng back together tonight after narrowing the rods,,,,

you need to either use the Type R rods, or take the rods and pistons, and clyinder dimensions to a machine shop.
they will be able to machine the top of the rods to fit the CTR pistons.
(just check your rods are the same length, THEY SHOULD BE!! but....)
